My first rescue budgie had raspberries all over her face. I was told she loved raspberries.(she doesn’t) it took me a while to clean her face with wet q-tips. She was terrified of silver spoons . I went slow and put her in a bird safe room to encourage her to leave the cage. In a couple days she was brave enough for human interaction. I was her 3rd home in one year. When she attacked the egg dish it reminded me of how sky reacts to silver spoons. Sky will try a few things as long as the dish isn’t metal.
Our geriatric cockatiel is for the first time eating chop, we started with a sprinkle of millet and his favourite peanuts on top, but now he will eat the chop enthusiastically.Not sure if it’s just because he has gone a little senile.
