I had one who was very loving in his youth and adult years. However, once he entered his golden years, he became a bit grumpy and didn’t like being handled as much. He slept quite a bit, I felt really sad when he passed away. He was old, his yellow head feathers had turned grey, showed a bit of balding, and his eyes showed signs of cataracts, but I miss him and his signing. He was around 22 when he passed away.
Why’s his wings clipped?!
So have any of these guides for caring of the feathered reptiles commented about birds snuggling up inside of a shirt?
Because when I owned a Sun Conure, it would love to perch on my shoulder then stick its head into the neck of my shirt and crawl down, poking holes throughout with its claws and beak. Sometimes to the point where you’d forget you’ve got a bird in your shirt until you get up and move.
I had a lot of shirts ruined in the front because that bird loved to nestle in there.
